We just got the news that ex-head of Xbox, Don Mattrick, was out at Microsoft, and now we know where he's going: Zynga. AllThingsD reports that Mattrick is officially the new CEO of the casual social gaming firm, and Mark Pincus, the current CEO, is stepping down from that position to make room for Mattrick's arrival. Fear not for Pincus, however, as the founder of Zynga will maintain a role at the company as chairman and chief product officer. Naturally, Zynga's thrilled with the hire, though we're still awaiting word from Redmond on the matter. You can get Pincus' take on Mattrick at the source below.

Update: Steve Ballmer has posted a memo about Mattrick's departure, calling it "a great opportunity for Don" and thanking him for his hard work at Microsoft.

Update 2: AllThingsD has Mattrick's first letter to Zynga's employees, in which he states the "mission to connect the world through games is just getting started."

Adobe's Move to the Cloud Incites Anger and Other Top Comments

In this week's Top Comments, we've focused in on the controversial discussion over Adobe's recent subscription pricing announcement. Does the new subscription-based model benefit freelancers, hobbyists, or professionals? When we first posted the story on our Facebook page, the general reaction to the news was extremely negative. Eventually, however, those who have been using the Creative Cloud Suite began to speak up and explained that the benefits actually outweigh the negatives. Adobe offers a tiered payment plan, and with the cloud, you automatically receive any updates as soon as they're released. Do you think the new subscription model is an improvement, or a regression, for Adobe's Creative Suite?

Our second most-buzzed about story this week was about Bill Gates' take on innovation, the Apple iPad, and the Windows tablet. In the comments section, our readers debated the necessity of Windows on an iPad; should tablets have all of the same functions as laptops, or do they serve a strict no-work, all-play function?

Finally, Robin Williams made the news this week when he tweeted out a picture of himself and Kim Kardashian side by side wearing strangely similar floral frocks. Kardashian was one of the celebrities at The Met's punk-themed gala this week and is rumored to be due sometime in June. Was Williams' tweet too low a blow at the mom-to-be, or was it funny enough to pass by without an apology?

The Cost of Being Iron Man and Other Top Comments

How much would it cost to fund the high-tech lifestyle of Iron Man 3? Being the "hero" in the third installation of the Iron Man series raised in price from $1.6 billion in the first movie to over $10 billion. This infographic breaks down the costs associated with being Iron Man, from the Tesla Roadster to the artificial intelligence computer in Tony Stark's home. In this week's top comments, many of our readers took to making their own financial assessments. But really, isn't being the real Iron Man priceless?

Would you watch a reality TV show about the Mars One pioneers? While it may sound far-fetched, it's not as radical an idea as you might think. Red Bull's Felix Baumgartner made YouTube history in a death-defying supersonic jump as more than 8 million people watched the live-streamed event. In general, our readers reacted to the idea of a reality show with skepticism and scorn. Let us know what you think in the comments section: Would you watch the show?

We've all had a bad day at work before, but nothing quite tops swearing on live tv on your first day. While some of our readers chastised A.J. Clemente for his colossal flub-up, many also defended him for the careless mistake. Do you think he will be given another chance?

Dove's Viral Video Sparks Discussion, and Other Top Comments

What do Dove soap, Korean pop star Psy, and BASE jumping all have in common?

They all scored viral video hits this week and were the subject of some of our most-discussed stories.

In this week's Top Comments, readers debate the motives behind the viral video ad that Dove released on YouTube this past Monday.

In the video, a former forensic artist for the San Jose, California police department sketches two portraits of women without knowing what they look like. The first sketch he creates based on how the women describe their own features.

The second, based on someone else's description. The results are extremely powerful, and the video spread like wildfire across Facebook, Twitter, and StumbleUpon.

While many were touched by the video's message, many people also decried Dove's parent company, Unilever, of being hypocritical in its marketing strategies.

Psy released his highly-anticipated new single, "Gentleman" this week. Within three days, the video already had 100 million views, tying the record set by a video of the Russian meteor from February. We asked our readers: is the video better than Psy's original hit, "Gangnam Style"? The overwhelming majority of our commenters said no, it wasn't. This video of a BASE jumper in a wingsuit zipping through a narrow cave opening was also the topic of much discussion this week. While many comments expressed amazement and admiration for the guts it took to take the leap, others prematurely nominated the jumper for a Darwin Award.

A recent study by Syncapse found that a "like" on a Facebook brand page is worth $174. Many of our readers denounced the study, citing flawed methodology as one of the reasons they simply didn't agree with the findings. What do you think? Facebook Finally Adds 'Reply' Option to Comments

Facebook announced on Monday it is rolling out a new feature so users can reply directly to comments left on their page. Finally.

Followings months of testing, the social network aims to make navigating through conversation threads easier with the new Replies feature. This means that, instead of having to leave a response to a friend's comment way after new ones have been added, you will be able to address each individual comment. Responses will be posted under the original comment too.

Facebook Replies

The site is also prioritizing comments based on engagement — the most active and popular ones will surface to the top of your posts. This will be especially helpful for pages with thousands of followers.

"You and your readers will have the ability to reply directly to comments left on your Page content and start conversation threads, which will make it easier for you to interact directly with individual readers and keep relevant conversations connected," said Vadim Lavrusik, Facebook's journalism program manager, in an official blog post. "Also, the most active and engaging conversations among your readers will be surfaced at the top of your posts ensuring that people who visit your Page will see the best conversations."

Facebook Replies

For now, threaded replies will be automatically applied to profiles with more than 10,000 followers and opt in for brand Pages until July 10, 2013. To opt in, visit the Replies option through the Page admin panel.

"At launch, this feature will only be available on desktop and we plan to make it available in the Graph API and mobile in the future," Lavrusik added.
