If you joined us for the Xbox One reveal yesterday, you'll probably know that amidst all the excitement, we learned that a single Xbox Live Gold membership will cover both the 360 and the next-gen console. Good stuff -- no extra expenditure, subscription sign-ups or other irritations. But, it gets even better, as a couple of Microsoft bigwigs told Polygon that Live memberships can also used by multiple profiles. That means several accounts can be created on one console, for discrete friends lists, personal Home screens and the like, but they'll all be able to feed off the same subscription. We're not sure how this'll work exactly, but it already sounds better than the Gamertag-specific membership model on the 360, which is responsible for far too many amazing kill stats being lost to the dreaded "Guest" account. when.eng("eng.perm.init")

Europe may be enjoying deeper and deeper integration, but that doesn't extend to mobile connectivity; citizens are still whacked with hefty roaming rates. European digital commissioner Neelie Kroes hopes to change this, telling business leaders that she's planning to push through a single mobile telecoms market before she retires in 2015. Speaking at the European Business Summit, she said she had "no intention to retire until [she'd] knocked down all the barriers to a single market," which was her "major priority" for the rest of her term. Hopefully those on that side of the pond will never again have to fork over $8 per day just to check Vine.

Listen to Mariah Carey's 'Beautiful' Single Featuring Miguel
By Brian Anthony Hernandez2013-05-06 15:28:24 UTCHashtag. Hashtag. Hashtag. It's like the Marcia Brady of symbols for musicians. Mariah Carey is the latest to infuse a song title with a hashtag, plopping one in her new single, "#Beautiful," featuring fellow Grammy winner Miguel.
Carey's crew released the track Monday morning and said a video for it will premiere Wednesday during American Idol. As a judge on the singing competition, Carey sometimes uses "hashtag" in her positive critiques as in "hashtag pow."
Carey and Miguel wrote and produced "#Beautiful," which is the lead single from her forthcoming album that will debut this summer. Listen to the song below:
This 26-second teaser for the single's music video appeared on YouTube on April 25 and has since garnered more than 2 million views. The full video will drop on Vevo and YouTube on May 8 after the American Idol premiere.
Carey's still-untitled new album wil be her first full-length studio album since 2009's Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel. It will feature "more raw ballads than people might expect," she told Billboard. Producers lending a hand are Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, Big Jim Wright, Hit-Boy, Mike Will, The-Dream and Rodney Jerkins.
