The Prince Harry Look Book

Prince Harry was always bound to be über attractive. As the son of Princess Diana, he was born with good looks and a royal tailor at his beck and call. Often seen in fitted suits, crisp button-downs, or other dapper formal attire, Harry dresses well for the cameras, but wears his prince-wear with a bit more swagger than his brother. Though he's gotten himself into some rather large scrapes, it's the royal's bad-boy attitude and roguish red hair that make him that much more appealing. Click through our look book to see Prince Harry in everything from a military uniform and polo gear to mirrored sunglasses and his first school uniform.

Amazon Studios now accepting short film bids on top of series, features

Amazon Studios is hell-bent on developing movies and TV series, and on top of script submissions, it's now asking filmmakers to send in 2-15 minute long shorts to pitch their feature-length film ideas. Those would serve as a foundation for your project and "express an idea that's begging to be seen on the big-screen, in full-length, full-budget form," according to the division's Hollywonk blog. Amazon Studios will spend 45 days evaluating each submission, and those added to the development slate will receive $10,000. After that, you'll get put into the development pipeline, which could get you paid writing and directing opportunities, guidance and feedback from partners like Warner Bros., and up to $400,000 if your baby hits theaters. Private submissions are welcome, but if you're feeling brave, you can also post it for the world to see -- hit the source or More Coverage link for more info.

Produced by Lionsgate Television, the hour-long series starring Taylor Schilling, and based on the popular memoir of the same name by Piper Kerman, is set to debut its first 13-episode season on Thursday, July 11 at 12:01 AM PDT in all territories where Netflix is available – U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Latin America, Brazil and the Nordics.

"Jenji and her team have produced a phenomenal series and we're eager to get a second season to our viewers," said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix.

"I am thrilled that Netflix has extended my sentence," said series creator and executive producer Jenji Kohan.

"We're enormously proud of the brilliant work of Jenji, the cast and the entire production team," said Kevin Beggs, president, Lionsgate Television Group, "and we're delighted about this early second season renewal. Netflix has been a great partner on this series and we look forward to our continuing collaboration."

"Orange is the New Black" follows engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), whose decade-old relationship with drug-runner Alex (Laura Prepon) results in her arrest and 15-month long detention in a federal penitentiary. To pay her debt to society, Piper must trade her comfortable New York life with fiance Larry (Jason Biggs) for an orange prison jumpsuit and a baffling prison culture where she is forced to question everything she believes and form unexpected new alliances with a group of eccentric and outspoken inmates. The series' diverse ensemble also includes Kate Mulgrew, Natasha Lyonne, Pablo Schreiber, Danielle Brooks, Laverne Cox and Taryn Manning.

The second season of "Orange is the New Black" is set to begin production later this summer.

"Orange is the New Black" is executive produced by Kohan. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television for Netflix.

Firefox gets a new logo, rolls out Beta update that gives devs access to its Social API

Firefox is an ever evolving beast, and that includes both its friendly orange fox logo, and its Beta channel browser. Today Mozilla unveiled the fourth Firefox logo, a (slightly) less textured and glossy icon for its favored web browser. Meanwhile, the latest update for for Firefox Beta brings access to the company's Social API and, consequently, Share buttons to the platform -- so Facebook fanatics can have one-click sharing of images, articles, videos and links from the Firefox toolbar. Plus, there's a new Network Monitor feature to let devs see how quickly individual page components load and optimizations for OS X 10.7 that enable its scrollbar style and and the scroll bounce behavior Apple fans love.

Oh, and for you mobile fans, the Android Beta was updated today, too. Now, it's got an auto-hide Awesome Bar, a URL autocomplete function and an updated RSS feed reader that allows you to add feeds to with a long press on the aforementioned Awesome Bar. Pretty awesome, gents, now let's get these Beta features into a full release, and it'll be really awesome.

The Preferred Fashions of Cheating Women

The philanderers over at cheating site Ashley Madison recently polled more than 50,000 women to determine which brands and wardrobe staples they prefer for an extramarital tryst. Good question! Sort of like shopping advice for a very specific woman. And now, labels like Banana Republic, J.Crew, and Chico's are getting a racy-by-association makeover.

Anyone expecting a wardrobe of Kiki de Montparnasse and Agent Provocateur might be disappointed, as it seems adulteresses head straight to business-casual stalwarts to "spice" up their wardrobes: Banana Republic topped the list. According to CEO Noel Biderman, "If your spouse suddenly seems more consumed with style and putting outfits together after spending years in sweatpants, that is a telltale sign she could be two timing." In addition to brands, the survey points out "maxi dresses, colored skinny jeans, and pencil skirts with slits"— secretary fantasy, duh — as key trends in this growing sector. Accessories were also tabulated: If a friend starts wearing Aldo pumps or Ray-Ban aviators, perhaps it’s time to ask her how her marriage is going.

The (admittedly dubious) survey also revealed that 12.4 percent of cheaters admit to returning items worn during a rendezvous. Consider that a PSA to launder every item you buy at the mall.

Planet Labs' fleet of 28 tiny satellites will send back aerial shots for cheap

Planet Labs Reveals First Images from Space; Announces Plans to Launch Fleet of Satellites to Understand the Changing Planet

San Francisco,
CA, 26th June 2013

Planet Labs, a space and analytics company, announced plans to launch the world's largest fleet of Earth imaging satellites to image the changing planet and provide open access to that information. Today, they revealed the first images from their first two satellites.

Planet Labs' goal is to provide universal access to information about the changing planet. The company plans to achieve this by launching a fleet of Earth imaging satellites, called 'Doves', that when acting together can provide a new image of the planet at an unprecedented combination of resolution and frequency. To best enable this mission, the company has selected a low orbit for its constellation and an optical resolution of three to five meters – a scale that allows measurement of a tree canopy, but does not compromise individual privacy. This will enable monitoring of deforestation, help improve agricultural yields, track natural disasters and many other applications.

"Planet Labs will create an entirely new data set, with both humanitarian and commercial value," said Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures. "We've become used to having imagery of the entire Earth. What we haven't yet understood is how transformative it will be when that imagery is regularly and frequently updated." Everyone from ecologists to citizen journalists will be able to track frequent changes to any place on the planet -- a frequency and coverage greater than ever seen before.

"We're seeing unprecedented innovation in the space industry, starting with SpaceX lowering the cost of access, and now with Planet Labs revolutionizing the satellite segment," said Steve Jurvetson, Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) and member of the company's Board of Directors. "As Planet Labs' first outside investor, we are delighted to help the company execute on their unique vision to make the big data landscape of the planet more accessible."

A selection of images from the company's first two demonstration satellites, "Dove 1" and "Dove 2," launched in April 2013, are available on www.planet-labs.com. These demonstration missions extended the company's lab into space, and successfully validated key technologies and operations to enable future systems. Data from the upcoming fleet of satellites are scheduled to be available early next year. The company is engaging with select partners and customers to ensure the data service can easily be utilized for both humanitarian and commercial purposes.
