LG and Ubitus Unleash Console-Quality Gaming Experience in Latest Smart TVs at E3

Live Demonstration at Ubitus Booth 217 of E3 2013 at Los Angeles Convention Center from June 11-13

LOS ANGELES, June 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics (LG) and Ubitus Inc., a worldwide technology leader in cloud gaming solutions, today announced at E3 that GameNow™ cloud gaming service will be available in the latest lineup of LG Smart TVs. Customer who purchase a new LG Smart TV model in the United States can start enjoying rich library of AAA and massively multiplayer online (MMO) titles right away.

GameNow turns LG Smart TV into a powerful game console, bringing consumers the video gaming experience previously unavailable on home TV units before. Without the hassle of loading discs, time-consuming downloads and long installation times, consumers can now play console-quality video games on demand, including blockbuster titles such as Street Fighter X Tekken and Batman: Arkham City that usually require high-end hardware to play.

"LG is constantly striving to bring consumers the best home entertainment experience possible directly through LG Smart TVs," said Richard Choi, senior vice president of the Smart Business Center at LG Electronics. "By utilizing GameNow gaming technology powered by Ubitus in our latest Smart TV lineup, our customers can enjoy blockbuster video games on demand without purchasing a dedicated gaming console."

"We are thrilled to team up with LG to make cloud gaming an integral part of the new consumer TV experience," said Wesley Kuo, CEO of Ubitus. "We believe consumers will be amazed at how effortless it is to enjoy console-quality games directly and instantly on their LG Smart TVs. Select, click and ready to play, just like the way they've been enjoying video-on-demand services."

A free beta trial of the GameNow service for high-end LG Smart TVs is now available at LG Smart World. The full GameNow service for the entire 2013 LG Smart TV lineup will be launched in the near future. For more information, please visit www.lg.com/us/smart-tvs and www.ugamenow.com.

Isabel Marant to Design for H&M

French designer Isabel Marant will be H&M's latest high-fashion collaborator, according to a press release. This is an impressive coup for the Swedish retailer, considering Marant's notorious avoidance of  e-commerce and other mass-market strategies. The collection will include clothes and accessories for women as well as Marant's first foray into men's and childrenswear. WWD reports that prices haven't yet been finalized, but they'll be similar to previous H&M collaborations like Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, and Lanvin.

H&M will surely bombard the Internet with ads before the collection hits on November 14, but in the meantime, here's a video of Marant wearing clothes and looking effortless in that totally impossible French way.

Elder Scrolls Online coming to the PS4 in the spring

In case you haven't already lost enough sleep (and probably a few girlfriends) to the Elder Scrolls Saga, Bethesda is turning the world into a next-gen MMO. The title appears to have many of the same, non-traditional (for an RPG) elements that made titles like Skyrim so successful but brings them to a massively multiplayer world int he vein of WoW. And, if any franchise has the ability to unseat the current king on online RPGs, it's the Elder Scrolls. There will be a beta period kicking off, starting with the PS4, before the title will officially hit shelves in the Spring of 2014. It's probably best to start stocking up on Red Bull and Cliff Bars now.

Facebook update for BlackBerry 10 brings photo album control, tweaked timeline

BlackBerry 10 users haven't had much control over their Facebook photo uploads -- a big problem when they're trying to organize their pictures later on. Thankfully, they can be a little more restrained as of the Facebook 10.2 update. The revision lets socialites both create albums on-device and upload directly to particular albums. After the fact, they can tag existing shots and toggle just which images they see. If you're the sort whose Q10 or Z10 doubles as a primary camera, you'll want to grab the update at the source link.

PlayStation Plus membership will carry over from PS3 to PS4

Just moments after baiting Microsoft with the PlayStation 4's less restrictive DRM policies, Sony announced that existing PlayStation Plus memberships will apply to all Sony gaming devices for no additional fee. "Members will have access to all the benefits across PlayStation 3, Vita and PlayStation 4 for one price," Tretton explained, sweetening the deal by outing a few of the free titles subscribers could expect to see in the coming year: Don't Starve, Outlast and Secret Ponchos. Naturally, Tretton summed up the PS Plus' major services as a steal at $5 a month -- just remember to buy in bulk, kids.

Hillary Clinton Becomes Last Politician in the World to Join Twitter

Years after her contemporaries, Hillary Clinton has launched an official, verified Twitter account with sass, dedicating her first message to the creators of Texts From Hillary and listing in her bio — after "Wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner" — "pantsuit aficionado" (we know), "glass ceiling cracker," and "TBD ... "  (She means president.)
