LG has teased the Optimus G's successor for awhile, but we've seen precious little of the phone's design. We may have just received a better peek: a tipster has sent @evleaks some images that appear to come from a promo video for the flagship device. While the snapshots are clearly victims of Mr. Blurrycam, they're detailed enough to suggest a big break from last year's model. They show both a previously seen buttonless front as well as an extremely slim profile that moves the volume controls to the back. There's also no mention of the Optimus badge -- all the on-screen graphics simply refer to the phone as the "G2." None of the images are verifiable, so there's no guarantee that they reflect the real thing. If we happen to see something similar-looking on August 7th, however, it won't come as a surprise.

Just moments after baiting Microsoft with the PlayStation 4's less restrictive DRM policies, Sony announced that existing PlayStation Plus memberships will apply to all Sony gaming devices for no additional fee. "Members will have access to all the benefits across PlayStation 3, Vita and PlayStation 4 for one price," Tretton explained, sweetening the deal by outing a few of the free titles subscribers could expect to see in the coming year: Don't Starve, Outlast and Secret Ponchos. Naturally, Tretton summed up the PS Plus' major services as a steal at $5 a month -- just remember to buy in bulk, kids.

Telus may be near taking over one of its competitors, but it could soon offer an olive branch to Canadians wanting a choice in budget carriers. MobileSyrup understands that prepaid service PC Mobile (which uses Telus' network) is going postpaid on June 5th, and introducing smartphones at the same time. The provider will reportedly embrace Koodo-style installment payments, as well as frugal plans that range between $35 and $60. It should also support a range of 3G and 4G phones that mostly line up with Telus' offerings: an inventory leak shows the higher-end BlackBerry Q10, Nexus 4 and Galaxy S 4 joined by the cheap-as-chips Lumia 520. Although we doubt that PC Mobile's expansion will completely make up for a shrinking market, we can't object to a small carrier entering the big leagues.
