Happy Birthday, Lindsay Lohan!

Today, Lindsay Lohan turns 27. The star has come a long way since she first appeared as adorable, freckle-faced twins Hallie and Annie in the superb film The Parent Trap at age 11. Since then she's dated Aaron Carter, starred in Mean Girls (nine years ago!), dated Sam Ronson, visited rehab numerous times, founded a line of leggings, and played Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime classic Liz & Dick. Throughout all this, Lohan has made notable fashion decisions, from sheer dresses and breast-baring necklines to more conservative attire (and now infamous nail art) for probation hearings. In honor of her birthday, check out Lilo's most notable sartorial moments in our look book below.

Where Can Lindsay Lohan Hide After Rehab?

Lindsay Lohan isn’t due out of court-ordered rehab until early August but she’s already “deathly afraid of relapsing,” TMZ reports. After switching from Betty Ford to Malibu’s Cliffside last month, she resolved to go “deep into hiding” once sprung. She plans to "disappear" somewhere “where there are no paparazzi ... somewhere she can get back in touch with her true self.” She says she'll go there for as long as it takes.

Well, the first rule of going into hiding is don’t tell TMZ you’re going into hiding. That mistake aside, we're eager to help. Herewith, five suggested hiding spots with better weather than Siberia.

Often called the most remote city on earth, this beach-side metropolis is basically Miami with the seasons reversed. And no paparazzi.

Lohan says cities like New York and L.A. only “feed her demons.” Good thing there are still plenty of “dry” cities — okay, townships — clinging to prohibition laws in the U.S. Bridgewater is probably the chicest of them; Mia Farrow and Diane Sawyer call it home.

Or Austin, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; Alpine, New Jersey; the south of France ... the kinds of towns where class acts like Julia Roberts can move (post-Oscar or post-superhero franchise) to raise children that aren’t totally insufferable or get fat gracefully outside the realm of Harvey Levin's surveillance.

N.S.A. leaker Edward Snowden has been in the international section of the Moscow airport for more than a week without being photographed. The attached hotel boasts cruise ship style beds and free wifi.

Sometimes, the place they least expect you is the one you haunted six or seven years ago. Also works with Teddy’s or The Viper Room.

Lindsay Lohan Fled Rented House After It Was Hit by Bling Ring

Ever wondered what it’s like to rent your home to Lindsay Lohan? The answer is in this Wall Street Journal article, which checked in on the celebrities burglarized in the now-immortal Bling Ring, to see who left and who stayed.

Paris Hilton is still in her narcissist's temple (Sofia Coppola shot her in it for Elle this month), and Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr recently listed the “gated estate” hit by the teen criminals to rent for $18,000 a month. Megan Fox's husband Brian Austin Green sold his in 2010, and Rachel Bilson sold hers last year, both for a small profit.

Lohan was living in a $10,000-a-month rental in the Hollywood Hills at the time. “We were desperate to rent the house, which was expensive, so we thought, 'What's the worst that could happen?'” owner Jenna Gering, also an actress, told the Journal. Nine months later, her house was on the national news. Lohan moved out “immediately” following the burglary. The Journal writes:

Sounds uncharacteristically responsible, but then again, this was 2008.
