Inspired by BioShock Infinite, crafter Anna the Red created an adorable plush version of Songbird, the mechanical jailer responsible for keeping Elizabeth in her cell.
In her blog, Anna said she has always been a fan of the BioShock games — she even created a bento box based on one of the franchise's most recognizable figures: the hulking Big Daddy. So Anna said when she first saw more details of Songbird online, before the game was released, she couldn't help but recreate it in plush.
Anna details the whole process on her blog, saying she started by creating a felt prototype, then creating the full toy. She said the hardest parts were sewing the pleather for Songbird's wings.
She says she was able to present the toy to two of BioShock Infinite's developers at PAX East, and then it traveled to Ken Levine, the creative director of Irrational Games and the idea man behind BioShock. Levine recorded this video of himself receiving Songbird.
Anna has created other plush of game characters, including Master Chief from Halo.
